MAKING LOVE: REAR-ENTRY POSITIONS

Although not as popular or as romantic as face-to-face positions, couples who have frequent intercourse enjoy the variety that a change to a rear entry position can bring. Rear-entry positions provide the man with considerable freedom to thrust, and with them he can alter most easily the angle and amount of penile movements. For those women who are fortunate enough to have sensitive “G” spots, these positions result in the greatest stimulation; for those who don’t, the different sensations produced can still be extremely exciting.

1 Probably the best known rear-entry position, this is known colloquially as the “doggie”. The woman kneels on her hands and knees on the bed or floor, and her partner kneels behind.
